A week of Move-In activity culminated in an iconic Philly celebration on Saturday, Aug. 22, when the Class of 2030 celebrated An Evening at the Constitution Center, part of the New Student Orientation (NSO) series of welcoming events for new and transfer students to Penn.
Following the event, students made their way back to campus for a Late Night Open House at Houston Hall and Penn’s ARCH buildings. Throughout the week, students kicked off their inaugural campus week with campus tours, resource fairs, Highball to Hey Day, movie nights, open mics, College House meetings, and the official Class of 2030 portrait session which, due to a brief yet strong rainstorm, was captured inside Penn’s historic Palestra.

Fluid Silicon, a platform from President’s Sustainability Prize winner Nhlanhla Mavuso, allows computer chips to continuously monitor their health and self-tune as their characteristics change.
