 PHILADELPHIA –- The University of Pennsylvania has joined forces with leaders from U.S. businesses, government and non-governmental organizations to launch a new initiative on business and the environment.

PHILADELPHIA -- Thomas S.  Robertson, executive faculty director of the Institute for Developing Nations at Emory University and former dean of Emory's Goizueta Business School, has been named dean of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.  The appointment, effective Aug. 1, was announced by Penn President Amy Gutmann and Provost Ron Daniels.

PHILADELPHIA -- The University of Pennsylvania has partnered with Microsoft to enhance the communications platform it offers to many of its students.

Should companies go public sooner about the fact that the SEC is investigating them? Daniel Taylor, a professor of accounting at Wharton, investigated this question in a research paper titled, “Undisclosed SEC Investigations,” which considers whether insiders gain an unfair advantage in being able to sell shares before the information hits the market.
