PHILADELPHIA -– Peter Kuriloff has been honored with the 2010 Excellence in Teaching Award in the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education.
Kuriloff, a member of the standing faculty in GSE’s Foundations and Practices in Education division, joined the Penn faculty in 1970 and has twice chaired the division. He is also the senior advisor on group effectiveness and career development in the executive M.B.A. program of Penn’s Wharton School and research director of the Center for the Study of Boys’ and Girls’ Lives, a coalition of independent schools.
Kuriloff’s research interests include gender dynamics and their impact on children’s opportunities, minority retention in schools and colleges and the re-invention of schools as more inclusive, open, generous and effective places.
