The Peace Science Society (International) Annual Conference is one of the largest in the world focused on issues related to international conflict and peace processes. More than 150 faculty and graduate students from Penn and around the world will present papers on issues from refugee crises to nuclear proliferation to terrorism and insurgent violence.
Michael C. Horowitz, associate professor of political science at Penn is host of the event.
"We are honored to host such a prominent conference at the University of Pennsylvania, bringing scholars from around the world to campus to present research on important issues surrounding peace and conflict," he said. "This highlights the investment the political science department has made in building expertise on international relations topics."

The effectiveness of this approach has led some countries and states to expand or consider expanding the role of dental providers in delivering routine vaccines, including those against COVID-19 and the human papillomavirus (HPV), and in providing vaccine education.
Penn student develops a way for computer chips to run more efficiently
Fluid Silicon, a platform from President’s Sustainability Prize winner Nhlanhla Mavuso, allows computer chips to continuously monitor their health and self-tune as their characteristics change. The technology has the potential to reduce energy usage in data centers and improve reliability in mission-critical applications.
